I have recently had my yearly service for my alfa romeo.
When leaving the car for it's service I asked them to have a look at my driver's side inside door handle as it had moved slightly, but it did not prevent the door handle from being fully functional.
When I collected the car I was given a quote to have it fixed.
It wasn't until I had reached home and went to open the driver's door from the inside that I discovered the door handle was completely broken!!
The service department never mentioned that the door handle was now broken and could not be used.
I now have to wind the window down to open the driver's door.
A survey was sent for me to complete after my service, and I received a call asking how I rated my experience with my recent car service.
On both occasions I explained the situation I was left with.
I haven't been contacted since!
I am so very disappointed with the service I have been given and now have to pay to have my door handle fixed, when it wasn't broken when I left it at the service department!!
After five months and three doomed car purchases, purchasing from Barbagello was a breath of fresh air. I can’t rate them highly enough, from start to finish Sara was invested and has made the entire transaction something special. Highly recommend.
Dont bother considering Barbagallo Landrover.
I bought a new Landrover relatively recently. Being my third new car from them, I thought I would get reasonable treatment. How wrong I was!!
Purchase price and trade in were key factors in my purchase and 30 seconds before the signing the of contract, I was informed that the trade-in was now several thousand dollars less than initially quoted. I would characterise this as a less- than-honest means of conducting a business and a hamfisted, craven, venal approach to a previously satisfied returning customer. I wrote a complaint to the company with little response, although the sales manager (who was responsible for the situation) did offer an apology.
It seems to me that Barbagello's are motivated more by money than customer satisfaction. Of course they are a business and there is a bottom line, but I will NEVER consider them for my business again. The laugh is on them as I was considering a significantly more expensive sportscar but will look interstate. Make sure you get any trade-in price in writing!!
A completely avoidable and disappointing experience. Never again will I deal with Barbagallo Landrover.
Post script:
Having written this review I was contacted by Customer Relations at Barbagallo. At least they take my complaint seriously now and are attempting to come to a suitable solution. All I ask is they acknowledge that their approach regarding changing the trade-in was inappropriate, poorly handled, and they make an appropriate apology. I do not seek recompense and am making this complaint (again) on principle.
Perhaps an extra star for goodwill.
Now 3 weeks later I have given them enough time to come to some sort of appropriate conclusion with no contact from them at all.
Oh well then, my initial one star score seems appropriate.
The response from Barbagallo's with the promise of a response and mediation is pure rubbish. They just post that to give the impressions that t they are concerned about the complaint, if fact they show no attempt to mediate or resolve. Pathetic
The sales guy did a great job explaining the vehicle and showed me the workings, and was not pushy which I found very easy to ask questions knowing he'll answer truthfully. I certainly would recommend this place to visit. Just need a full wallet and large bank account. But 1 star 🌟 short as the price is aimed at the nameplate of the vehicle. I'll be going back after I survive my treatment and clear in August.. thank you.
Be cautious buying from interstate …. “Over promise and under deliver” should be their motto!
Following a ‘deal’ being done, we were left high and dry with delivery of our vehicle to Sydney. All paperwork delivered, money transferred, only THEN to be informed of a 5 WEEK DELIVERY TO SYDNEY!!! (After having been assured of a 5-10 day delivery time…. )

The sales and after sales service I've received from Barbagallo has been impeccable. Emanuel and John went well above and beyond expectations to assist me. By far the best car dealership experience I've had.
